We believe a strong and effective public sector is essential to the UK’s democratic principles and for a just, sustainable and equitable future.

The National Commission was established out of concern that rapid changes in the world have created enormous threats for the public sector.

With this turbulence comes great opportunities for change. We aim to shift mindsets, structures and policies to grasp these opportunities.

To achieve this, our work needs to be meaningful and evidence-based. That means getting input from people across society.
