Date: Tuesday, 9 June 2020
Place: Zoom Conference Call
The summit was an invitation-only event bringing together a small number of leaders of regulatory bodies and chief executives and directors from the public sector. Its aim was to create an interactive space where immediate and longer-term implications for regulation can be explored openly between peers.
We used two main questions to provide an overall structure for the discussion, which was facilitated:
What are the most pressing issues which impact on regulation and need to be addressed in the next 12-18 months?
What action needs to be taken longer-term to safeguard and enhance the critically important role of regulation and regulators in supporting good governance in the public sector by 2021?
The outcomes from the summit will be published and will also feed directly into a position statement about governance and the new normal.
