Given the increasing importance of localised projects in public sector thinking, place is central to Commission thinking on the future of public sector governance. Our roundtable was the first stage in our place programme of work, bringing together experts from a range of sectors to answer the question:
“Place-making and place-based governance are critical to delivering better public outcomes over the next decade. What needs to happen to make it all really work this time?”
The themes generated from this session will form the basis of our further exploration of place in the calls for evidence, keynote interviews and future summit.
